Bonjour,

I translate the following as :

Je reconnais bien volontiers qu'il est pénible d'être tiré de son premiersommeil par des bruits de pas = I recognise gladly that it is painful to arouse him from his early slumber with all that noise

D'accord ? Please help.

I admit gladly that it is difficult / unpleassant to be awaken from early sleep / slumber by the noise of tramping feet.

This is my attempt. I hope somebody will be able to do better!

How about: "I fully recognise how annoying it is to be woken up early in sleep (or "in the early hours"?) by noisy footsteps."

(I suggest fully recognised because that seems to me closest to the English term "I freely recognise", which the French original looked to be expressing.)
