par mesure de précaution

France, french
Bonjour tout le monde!

How do you translate "par mesure de precaution"? The context could be for instance :"Par mesure de precaution, j'ai refais tous mes calculs deux fois."
I am a bit surprised that nobody asked the question on this forum before me.

Thank you very much :)

I am reviving this post, because I have struggled several times with "par précaution" / "par mesure de précaution", and how to translate it in a more formal way than "to be on the safe side".
I seem to have found "by way of precaution", with 80,000 hits in Google. Would a native like to confirm that the two phrases are equivalent in both languages?
    Thanks a lot.
