    It comes across a little dated/old-fashioned, but I agree that you can say it.

    I'd say: Please excuse my English.

    I'd avoid using "poor", though it's correct.

    Are you looking for a colloquial phrase, something you might say to friends? Or something you might write in an email to a professor? Or in some other situation? There are various degrees of formality, and yours is correct and polite but maybe a little formal.
