Party Life

< Previous | Next >

- A woman who wants to smoke weed, get drunk and enjoy life isn't a good prospect for a mate until she's ready to give up the party life.

- "the party life" here means "life is full with parties", right?

Thanks a lot!

The "party life" is equivalent to the "single life." The difference is in the speaker. A girl friend who doesn't care for her would probably say "party life." Her mother would certainly say only "single life." Party life in the context is derogatory. It does not necessarily mean that she smokes, uses drugs or even drinks. But, it implies that she is rather promiscuous; not being commited to a steady boy friend.
