What's the difference between these two sentences:


"We were staying at our grandmother's"
"We stayed at our grandmother's"

    ... I think you are going to tell me something more about what happened during your stay.

    "We stayed at our grandmother's"
    ... That's a simple statement about your accommodation.

    Hi Hotmale.

    Past continuous : Two actions happened in the past, the long one is ( past continuous ) and the short one is ( past simple )
    E.g.: While I was playing foot ball, my phone rang. i.e
