Hi,
I am translating a text about the history of aeronautics.
In this sentence I cannot understand the extract in bold:
Cayley identified the four aerodynamic forces of flight (weight, lift, drag, and thrust) that paved the way for all heavier than air flight, credited as the first to scientifically understand the wing shape.
I can't grasp what "heavier" refers to. Does it mean "everything that is heavier than the mere air flight"?
Thanks.
