pedrezuela / armador

I'm doing a translation from Spanish to English about the evolution of the "traje de luces." I'm coming up against some very difficult words. One is "pedrezuela." Here is the phrase: "el traje...ardenado posteriormente con profusión de bordados en oro y plata y recamados con pedrezuelas de color." The other word is "armador." What follows is a segment of the sentence: "forradas las casaquillas de lienzo, armadores de lana falsa, entreforros y espiguilla de plata con medias encarnadas."

"pedrezuelas" is about the size of the brightly coloured stones.
That is: "Small, shinning pieces of stone or glass".

No idea about "armadores" in tayloring context.
