Hello.
How would you translate the part in red?

One of the most respected Stanford humanities professors, Robert Harrison, called death the “culmination” of life. He may be thinking of “culmination” in the Catholic sense of making peace with God and receiving the last rites. Can the idea of culmination have meaning for someone who is not a religious believer?
