phenolics

If you say that a product contains "phenolics" does it mean "fenoli" or since it is an adj it's "acidi fenolici".... I'm not sure because it's just phenolics...

    "phenolics" is a variety of componds, which includes phenol and many others (here)
    phenol = fenolo,
    phenolics = composti/costituenti/componenti fenolici (si tratta della famiglia di composti fenolici)

    Per esempio:
    1.phenolics are any of various synthetic thermosetting resins, obtained by the reaction of phenols with simple aldehydes and used to make molded products and as coatings and adhesives. Also called phenolic resin.
    2. "componenti fenolici bioattivi"

    Ci sono composti fenolici naturali, sintetchi, acidi fenolici...
