Phone call went down

Hi all,

I was on the phone having a nice chat with a guy and I heard this noise of an incoming phone call.

I thought the previous connection had been terminated and said: "Hello, are you still there?"
On the other side of the line, the guy told me: "Yes, still here", to which I responded "Oh, I thought the phone call went down". Can I use such an expression, or should I use instead something like "Oh, thought I've had lost you"?

Thank you.

I've never heard of a phone call "going down".
"Oh, I thought I've had lost you" sounds good. "I thought I'd lost you."
Also "I thought we were cut off", "I thought we'd lost the connection."

    Hi Cenzotle,

Thank you. It sounded kind of off the moment I've said it, so it's now clear why. Probably I have never heard it either, despite I've said it. :)
