Hi,

When a scab just formed on the skin, people used their fingers to attemp to remove it.

Can you provide a verb or verb phrase to describe this action?

Can I say pick a scab, or pick at a scab, or scratch a scab?

Thank you.

Same here in the UK. Pick or pick at.

    Examples
"John, don't pick at that scab, you'll make it bleed"
    "I'm not Mum!"
"John, you always pick scabs, now stop it immediately."
