"It is an abnormal condition caused by excessive intake of fluorides. Can also be called mottled enamel characterized in children by discoloration and pitting of the teeth and in adults by pathological bone changes."

PLease, what does "pitting of the teeth" mean? Are the teeth afterwards "pitted"?

"Pitting of the teeth" means "indentations in the teeth": you'll find "pitting" in the WRF dictionary:)

And yes, after pitting has occurred, the teeth are pitted.
