Hey, does someone know how to translate this expression? Thank you so much.
“In fact, let’s stop buying into this whole pitting-women-against-each-other thing-it’s just not cool.”:)

Hello and welcome to the forum!

This made-up expression is going to be difficult to translate!

    Here's my try:

Is the speaker a man or a woman?

(I'm not a native, so take suggestions with caution)

    And - Welcome!

Second thoughts (and a bit more context):
You’d think if these two ladies didn’t like each other, they wouldn’t be breaking a huge royals rule together. But, let this be proof that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are closer than tabloids would have you believe. (In fact, let’s stop buying into this whole pitting-women-against-each-other thing — it’s just not cool.)
    Suggestion, something like:

The expression is not pitting-these-two-women-against-each-other, it's pitting-women-against-each-other. It's a generality, the myth that any number of women in any sort of context will always become rivals (competing for male attention, of course, what else is there in their lifes?).

    I agree, it's talking generally.
