"She was a playgirl of the Western World" - what does that mean? like party girls?
Any suggestions of translation to portuguese (or spanish)?
Thank you very much!

It's based on a famous play by the Irish writer J.M. Synge, The Playboy of the Western World. Apparently 'playboy' in Ireland then meant "trickster", not its modern meaning. Would a study guide about that help? What context was it in?

    cross-posted, to be sure

Thanks a lot, Copyright and entangledbank. The context is towo friends in a road trip in Ireland and one of them says that. It's surely a reference to Synge's play. Thanks again.
