I struggle with the verb "ignore" for this sentence, since ignorer generally means (I think) "to be unaware of".
What is the best way to say the above sentence?

You can also say :"Ne faites pas attention à mon dernier mail". But yes you can also say : "Veuillez ignorer mon dernier mail", a little bit more formal...

Toute petite correction. :) However, eventhough it's often heard - and may be generally accepted - ignorer is an anglicism, when used in that sense.

Another option would be. « Ne tiens pas / ne tenez pas compte de mon dernier courriel » (we French Quebecers don't say mail ;) )

    Sounding like a lawyer:

Veuillez considérer mon dernier courriel comme nul et non avenu.
