I teach English to a few students online and one of them often forgets about the session. How could I say "Please remember to come to class next time!" in Chinese? (They are private classes, as in one student per class)
Thanks!

    Thanks, SimonTsai and Albert_laosong! :)

    Is there a difference between 记得 and 记住? (For example, is 记住 a little more formal or direct than 记得?)

    I don't think so , they are both used in quite informal situations. they can be exchanged in some circumstances, but not in others. I think a general rule might be, if you are reminding somebody not to forget about something, in most cases the two words can be exchanged.
also correct,but not so often used in this context.

    but when you ask someone if they remember sth, you use 记得 not 记住。
don't use 记住 here.

    I have edited my post since I find the original translation that I provided sort of stilted.

    Yes. '記得' versus '記住' is very much the same as 'to remember' versus 'to bear in mind'.
