I’d like to ask each of the believers to please warmly watch over Reverend XYZ and his family.

Is "watch over" the correct verb to use?

Thanks.

A couple of things: "warmly" is odd here (for me). And how do you expect these believers to watch over the family? Literally?

    Thanks, Copyright.

I agree with you that "warmly watch over" sounds odd. I will leave the sentence as it is.

Believers can ask a higher power to watch over someone; in other words, they can pray for the safety and well-being of a family.
