A: Ah, vous travaillez avec votre frere?
B: Plus maintenant.

Est-ce que la phrase de 'plus maintenant' veut dire 'not now'

Personne peut me donner un coup de main?

    Hi On Retrouve,

It means 'no longer now' or 'not any more now' or 'no longer any more'.

'Not now' basically says almost the same thing and is shorter.

Does anyone else disagree with this? I don't think it means "not now" at all - to me, "plus maintenant" has a degree of finality to it.

If it was "not now", it'd be "pas maintenant" or "pas en ce moment", n'est-ce pas?
