Point de blocage

Bonjour,

Comment puis-je dire "point de blocage" en anglais? Contexte :ici point de blocage = obstacle dans le processus décisionnel qui bloque l'aboutissement d'un projet.

J'ai vu "show stopper" dans un autre fil, mais je doute que cela s'applique à mon contexte... Je n'ai absolument aucune idée de comment traduire cette expression.

    j'ai également trouvé "bottleneck" pour ce contexte (bien sûr, cela signifie généralement "goulet d'étranglement")

    Bottleneck may imply that it is slowing things down but not stopping them completely. Logjam is an alternative but they do both imply that it is a problem of volume of work, rather than a need for a decision, that is causing the problem.

    I would suggest 'that has created a deadlock in completing the project'

    It could be that, it depends on the context. I think there's a slight nuance between an obstacle that suddenly occurs which prevents further progress in discussion and discussions that are deadlocked because the interested parties hold widely differing views.
