Hi everyone;

What does "poised to end" mean and what does it refer to? (cumulative sentence or imagery)

"I relish crafting a cumulative sentence, highlighting its accumulation of detail, its extra-fine addition of imagery, poised to end with a flourish, in a crescendo of form
and meaning."

    "Poised to end" should mean "to be prepared/ready to end". I assume that the sentence - not the accumulation of detail - is "poised to end."
