    Hi!
I wanted to know if I'm using correctly the verb "Placer" in the context of a chess game:

"Position the king on the marked square."

Could it be translated to "Place le roi sur le carré marqué."?

    Thanks!

Hi, in such instructions it would be more appropriate to use second person plural (as when talking to someone you don't know), so that would be Placez le roi sur la case indiquée.

(I would only use marqué if the square on the board was actually marked).

    Thanks Grop!!
Yes, the square on the board is marked, so I'll use marqué...
