The payment will be as from 1 July 2009 now

Here is my phrase

I wish to inform you that we are willing to postpone the payment as from 1 July 2009

Can I say 'postpone the payment as from 1 July 2009' ?

    Hi Ash Dav,

Postpone seems to be used correctly here, however I'm confused with as from. Do you mean ...we are willing to postpone the payment until 1 July 2009. ?

    EDIT:
    postpone to 1 July

but if you are the payer, willing to postpone sounds strange
Not necessarily. If the payee requested the payment be postponed, willing to postpone would sound fine. The payee could have requested this or any number of reasons, for example wanting the payment to land in the correct accounting period.

Ash Dav, as Tia Morena points out, ...postpone the payment to 1 July 2009 also makes much more sense than as from.
