Hello, I would like to know which is the proper term in Spanish for : preemptive. I am translating a document for citomegalovirus prophylaxis where the author states two forms of prophylaxis the universal and the preemptive, in the latter the patient does not receive prophylaxis but is monitored with PCR, if the result is positive, therapy is prescribed. I have search for the word, but it says that a definition is: to appropriate (apropiarse; in Spanish), but it doesn´t seem right to the context. Thanks, K.
