Hi! Does anyone know the difference between prerequisites and preconditions? When should you use one or the other? Thanks.

Preconditions are often imposed requirements for something to take place. Prerequisites are required, but more by circumstances or laws than by conscious decisions.

Prerequisites for the advanced course of study include basic and intermediate classes.

Preconditions for the negotiations have been established.
