Hi.

During the outbreak of the virus, two months ago, the price of face masks rose from 0.2 yuan to 4.2 yuan. At that time I wrote a sentence about this, I said "The price has been mounting".

I wonder if it's natural to say so.

Most people in the US would say: The price is (has been) increasing.....The price is (has been) going up......but they would understand "The price is mounting"......they'd just never say it.
