Primary and Secondary Identification

Hello, Tina again,
here is another draft that I need help translating. Most of it is done, but I like getting the corrections from you brilliant people!!

International clients must fax or scan in two pieces of ID to certify their **** account. One Primary and one Secondary Identification. A Primary ID would be considering a government issued photo ID such as a Passport or Drivers License while a Secondary ID would be a Credit Card or Phone Bill.

Examples:

Primary ID:
Passport
Drivers License
Identification Card

Secondary ID:
Front and Bank of Credit Card
Utility Bill
Phone Bill
Bank Statement

If you wish to use a Credit Card on your account you must send in the front and bank of the card you have already used on your account.
It takes time to review documents and as such it can take up to 3 business days.

Well, Tina, I don't want to be rude, but I usually get paid to translate this sort of stuff. And you probably get paid, too. So, why should anybody do your work for free?
I mean, the way I see it, this should be a place to discuss interesting linguistic matters or help people to understand difficult words that don't come up in the dictionaries or even translate a short, obscure sentence. But here you are asking us to earn your living...

I would say:
I clienti internazionali sono pregati di inviare via fax o per email due documenti identificativi per certificare il proprio account, ovvero un documento identificativo primario ed uno secondario. Quale documento primario può essere valido un passaporto una carta d'identità con foto, o una patente di guida, metre quale documento secondario può essere valida una carta di credito o una bolletta telefonica.

Esempi

ID primario:
Passaporto
Patente di guida
Carta d'identità

ID secondario:
Copia della carta di credito ed eventuale banca d'emissione
Fattura di un'utenza domestica
Bolletta telefonica
Estratto conto bancario

Se desiderate utilizzare una carta di credito per il vostro account, sarà necessario fornire copia della carta ed eventuale banca di emissione relativa alla carta già utilizzata col vostro account.
Il controllo di tutta la documentazione può richiedere fino a 3 giorni lavorativi.

Well, Tina, I don't want to be rude, but I usually get paid to translate this sort of stuff. And you probably get paid, too. So, why should anybody do your work for free?

Riccardo, lest anyone think you are just being an old meanie, may I second your comments? Lots of us here like to help (it's probably the main reason why the regulars stick around) but, on the other hand, no-one likes to think s/he is being "taken for a ride" by being asked to translate for no reward lengthy technical pieces that look like someone else is being paid to deal with as part of their work.

May I also join riccardo in saying "no offence intended, Tina", but I hope you can see where we are coming from.

And Riccardo, I'm so sorry to have inconvenienced you in anyway, but if you don't want to help, then you don't have to. You were rude in saying what you did, because you accuse and assume with out knowing any details. I am not "getting paid" for this, I am actually helping someone with a project. (And that person is not getting paid either, if that's any of your business)
To everyone else that has helped, I thank you again, and I guess if this bothers anyone else I am done here and won't bother you anymore.

Riccardo: So che sei un traduttore professionista, ma ho notato che non hai richiesto di essere incluso nella lista dei traduttori che verrà pubblicata su questo sito. Perciò suppongo che tu sia già oberato di lavoro, perchè dovresti allora fare traduzioni a pagamento? C'è qualcosa che mi sfugge...

Forse non ho capito bene lo scopo di questo forum, nel qual caso me ne scuso.
Anch'io sono pronto e felice di aiutare qualcuno che ha un problema o un dubbio, ma trovo "noioso" che ci sia chi si fa tradurre stralci interi di testo. Dove sta l'interesse linguistico? Io non cerco lavoro (facendo gli scongiuri, ne ho più che a sufficienza), ma se faccio un salto qui mi fa piacere trovare spunti interessanti di riflessione, non "lavoro extra". E con questo ho chiuso. Non voglio polemizzare. Fate come credete. Mi limiterò a ignorare le cose ininteressanti. Pace e bene a tutti. Amen.
