Hello, my friends,

I was whether this title is idiomatic:

He become probationary party member in June.

Thoughts: In Communist Party if you perform well when you applying for the membership, they would finally give you a title that you are part of the Communist Party but you are not formally be addressed a full member. You should keep showing your loyalty to the the party and perform well for two or three months then you can become a full one.

"Probationary party member" sounds fine to me, Sun. People might not use this label every day, but it's normal and easy to understand. I think you should use "a" before the phrase: He became a probationary party member in June.
