HI.
how would you traslate "process" in this context: "consist of relatively large, protoplasmic-rich cells or smaller cells with many processes".
I cannot think of any good traslation

    I think that providing the full sentence, or maybe even including a sentence before and after, would be helpful in discerning the intended meaning of the word in this usage.

    De hecho los astrocitos se denominan así ("célula estrellada; con forma de estrella") precisamente por sus numerosas prolongaciones que, radiando desde el cuerpo celular, ofrecen una imagen característica como un "sol/estrella con rayos".
