Help!
Projecteur iodures métalliques IM 70W

I'm flummoxed.70W Metal iodide lamps?? Metallic iodide lamps? Neither seem to bring up many results on google.

I'm guessing the IM is an abbreviation of iodures metalliques...

    My suggestion is as follows:

    "Halogen (iodide salts) spotlight Integrated Model 70 Watt".

    The acronym "IM" is used, always in Electronics ,as "Integrated Model".

    I think metal halide floodlight is the answer, thanks so much for that.

    I can't give any other details unfortunately because it's just a description of all the various lighting designs in Toulouse that show off the buildings etc.
     
    One last question - further on in the translation, all lamps are referred to as "projecteur IM". Do you think this is a metal halide lamp IM, or is it just "lamp IM"...
    Would the IM part not come before "lamp" or is it a set technical phrase?

    "IM" just stands for "Iodures Métalliques". You'll find "HM lamps" in E...
