    Well.. I guess, not so much as it varies from one speaker to the next. What word(s) are you thinking of? In many preterites and past participles the ending -ed is pronounced /d/, not /id/.

    Well, that depends. I pronounce "wicked" the adjective (e.g. "The Wicked Witch of the West") as /wikid/ and "wicked" the past tense verb (e.g. "The water wicked through one layer to the next.") as /wikd/.
