    In American English, they are nearly universally pronounced with the same vowel sound, being either /kɔf/ and /kɔt/, or /kɑf/ and /kɑt/, depending on the region.

    In British English, they have different vowels, being pronounced /kɒf/ and /kɔ:t/. I believe this is also true of most other varieties. The sound /ɒ/ of British English does not exist at all in American English.
