Most people pronounce 'founded' like any other word with an 'ed' suffix to denote the past tense of that word. However, I remember hearing a long time ago that 'founded' is supposed to be pronounced like 'found'.

Which is it?

Found as a verb is completely regular in the formation of the past tense and past participial form as well as in their pronunciations. Don't confuse it with the verb find, with the past tense and past participle found.
