pronunciation: 's' in "those'll" and "these'll"

How is "s" pronounced in "those'll" and "these'll"? As /s/ or /z/?

An American English teacher I have listened to on Youtube says s as /z/. If both sounds are used which is most common?

There are people whose speech emphasises sibilants, but this seems to be the exception.

I pronounce them as z even without anything following them: these, those: both z.

In short, the issue has nothing to do with contractions. The 's' in the base word is pronounced like 'z'. RM1, above
