Hi. I badly need the correct pronunciation for the following words :
Soham, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire

Does anyone know if there's any website where I could find pronunciation for such proper names ? I've been trying to find such a website but to no avail ...
Please, do include some explanation to the symbols you are going to use to present the pronunciation.

Thanks a lot.

I don't know any symbols, but I hope this helps:

Soham: so'-um - so as in what you do with a needle and thread.

Suffolk: like su'ffer, with a 'k' sound at the end.

    Cambridgeshire: came'-bridge-shuh.

I have put ' after the stressed syllable.

Thanks a ton ! I guess this ' u ' represents schwa ( the last vowel in words like mother, famous, central etc ). What you've written seems to be just the way I heard in a recording. Anyway, if anyone knows of a website where such names are scripted for pronunciation I'd be grateful for a link. Can't bother you every time I don't know how to say a name of a person or a place. Thanks a lot.
