Hello,

I'm stumped.

The text is a physics question relating to the rectilinear propogation of light:

La relation obtenue peut être dérivée grâce à une proportion tirée de triangles semblables (voir le montage du protocole à la page précédente).

My attempt:

The relationship obtained can be derived thanks to a ratio drawn from similar triangles (see the protocol setup on the previous page).

Any physics/math whizzes who can help?

Thanks kindly!

in maths, triangles semblables are triangles whose angles are identical, hence length of the sides are proportional.

Thank you Coursic for clarifying. I'm more concerned about the actual sentence; if it is written correctly for a knowledgeable math/physics audience.

    Any opinions?
