protégé contre les files

Hello,

This is taken from the description of a stool (tabouret):

Pied : modèle roulant blocable, sur pied à 5 roulettes protégé contre les files.

I really am not sure what "files" are here. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hello to you, Transzlator,
I don't know what it can be but if you could show an image of that stool, perhaps we could guess.

The only explanation I can think of is that it was written in English originally and that "file" is the wrong translation for "line" (one of the meanings of the French word) and that the translator wanted to say "rayures". (scratches)
Protégé (or "protégées" if it is "5 roulettes protégées ...) contre les rayures.

Thanks petit1. I don't have any photos unfortunately... I will go with scratches then, which seems logical, since the wheels are also supposed to be anti-friction, unless someone else can suggest something.

Une autre hypothèse serait qu'il s'agit de fils : quelque chose dans la conception des roulette permettrait d'éviter que les fils électriques vienne se coincer dans les roulettes.
