"Psychological experiments indicate that people remember more math problems that they cannot solve than those they are able to solve."
This sentence is so long. Could you help me with a short one?
I would omit "that" first. Could I omit "solve" too?

    No, in this case you really can't. The contrast you're intending is not clear without the word "those" or a repetition of the word "problems". (I don't think repeating "problems" is redundant since it emphasizes a parallelism.)
