Now its puissance requise that has me foxed. When speaking of Mb, Gb, kmptc, etc : would one say required volume or potency or strength...?

the context is a computer application : mb and gb would be megabytes. and gigabytes; ktpmc i haven't yet deciphered... but I presume it refers to computer memory like the others....
So would computer memory be powerful, strong or potent...?

Not really. I think you just fell on poorly written stuff. "Capacité requise" would be a better phrasing. But usually it's "Configuration requise" or "Configuration minimale".
