pull off (flower petals)

    Hello everybody,

    I'm just wondering if it's correct to say "The frail flower petals are pulled off by the strong gusts of wind"?

    There is no specific context, it's just because right now, I see flower petals flying before my windows because of the wind ^_^

    I would expect them to be blown off rather than pulled off.
