qqch, qch, qqc, qc (abréviation de "quelque chose")

Is the abbreviation for "something" ie. quelque chose "qch" or "qqc" ?

I use qch. But none of them are really "correct", and if you're in a context where you use them I don't think it matters at all which you choose, they're all understandable.

I use qqch as well. And I am pretty sure it's because the French teacher who taught me grammar used it.

On trouve un peu de tout, mais l'abréviation la plus courante est bien qqch ; c'est celle qui est employée dans les dictionnaires usuels comme Larousse ou Robert. La BDL ajoute le point abréviatif (qqch.). Grevisse l'écrit en deux mots (qq. ch.). Le TLFi emploie en revanche qqc. (aussi avec le point abréviatif). Le dictionnaire WordReference utilise quant à lui qch, qui est moins fréquent.

This is how I remember being taught as well. So I use "qqch".

C'est qqch qu'on retrouve le plus dans les ouvrages didactiques. Mais il n'y a pas de règle quand on écrit des notes pour soi-même : moi je mets simplement qc.

Merci, Seeda. Je trouve 'qqch' plus utíl. J'admets que c'est un peu plus long, mais pour les étudiants, cette forme rappelle plus le son des mots d'origine qu'elle remplace, donc, ils le reconnaissent plus facilement.
