I can’t pick just one, but I do remember the first book I couldn’t put down: Histórias de Tia Anastácia, by Monteiro Lobato, a Brazilian author who wrote for children, which I read when I had only just learned to read. I still get that special feeling of being a child again when I browse through it.
12. Who are your favorite poets and/or writers? Eça de Queirós, for his superb elegance in the use of the language and his keen inteligence. I may sound like an insensitive troglodyte, but the truth is that I don’t enjoy poetry very much.

If I said that happiness is X and then a fairy waved her magic wand and gave me X, I would sooner or later get bored with X and imagine that happiness is X² or Y. We are humans, after all. There are no simple answers for us.
