Does anyone know how to say a company's "quota di competenza" in English? I'm afraid I don't even have a guess ready for this one.

The original sentence is simply:

La quota di competenza della società è pari a 1 milione di euro.

I have the impression that it is the market share of the company, or the share that the company has in a particular project, in which case, it might be called the share of responsibility in the project. EDIT: It sounds like (with ectropion's help) that is is the share of dues owed by the company.

Or maybe you don't need here a specific expression: it could be simply the fee that "è di competenza della società", i.e. "is up/pertains to the society"...

I must partially correct myself. "Competenza" here has a specific use, but the whole meaning of the sentence seems unchanged.
Competenza b. Nel linguaggio finanz. e comm.: entrate, uscite di competenza, entrate e uscite finanziarie che un ente, durante l’esercizio, ha, rispettivamente, il diritto di esigere e l’obbligo di pagare (Treccani). So let's wait WR people more skilled in financial stuff...
