Hi,

My washing machine broke down last night. There was water in my apartment.

My cousin got the water flow away, is it okay to say:

He ran the water way.

    He ran the water way. -----> No, the sentence is meaningless. There are many ways to fix your sentence. One way is to say:

    He got rid of the water. -

    No, when I said "got the water flow away" means "he tried to let the water on the ground to other place", not stop flowing. It has already stop flowing but there's much water on the ground. He finally use a tube to let the water go away.
