rapporto tra superficie pavimento e superficie finestre

Ciao a tutti,
I need an advice pls...pensate che nel caso sotto la parola italiana "rapporto" puo essere tradotta con il termine inglese "ratio"?
Contesto:
"A supporto di tale analisi sono state esaminate:le caratteristiche strutturali dell'ambiente di lavoro (superficie, volume, porte, finestre, rapporto tra superficie pavimento e superficie finestre, etc.);"
My attempt:​

"To support this analysis were considered: the structural features of the working environment (surface, volume, doors, windows,the ratio between floor area and surface windows, etc..)"

Come mai hai scritto ''to support'' e non invece ''in order to support''?
