rater / louper le réveil

< Previous | Next >
I'd like to translate this sentence in English:
"j'ai loupé/ raté le réveil ce matin"
I suggest:
"I overslept this morning"
I 'm quite sure this English sentence is correct but I was wondering if there was another way of expressing this idea, for example: can we use the verb "miss" in such a case?

Thanks for your help.

I can't think of a way to say it using "miss".

    Other possibilities:
My alarm didn't go off this morning.
I forgot to set my alarm.

You could say, however, "I missed my appointment because I slept through my alarm . . ."
