Dear all, I've come across this at Uni "Receivables department". Some English friends of me aren't familiar with that, maybe it's a new word... Why could that be?
I've done some research and I just found three or four entries on google... It doesn't sound good to you?

Probably it's more common to say accounts receivable department to say "depto. de cuentas pendientes de cobro" or "depto. de cuentas por cobrar"...

Thanks in advance.

    Thanks both.
More particularly my question is more addressed to "receivable department", if it sounds good to you as it seems that is not used commonly (I've just come across those words at the University of Leeds and Princeton for example) but no one understands it...
