recipes spefic words and measures

Hi, I would like to understand these measures and words I've found in some recipes:
1) tbspn - I imagine it is some kind of spoon, isn't it? But could you give me an idea of the size?
2) golden syrup- what is it?
3) what kind of sugar is castor sugar?
4) what is 'self raising' flour?
5) which is the volume of a normal cup?

    These terms may be found on any common cooking site and are not really applicable to Word Reference. You might look at THIS site as a start, since most of these are BE terms.
