To have an extra lesson? Anche se non implica che ne hai persa una...

Comunque, di solito lezione (quando ha questo significato) si traduce come "class".

silvia; puoi espiegarme la tua risposta. Io capisco che recupero viene del verbo recuperare (recover) qualcosa che si ha perso. To have e class or lesson that previously has been lost. I will appreciate your explanation.

Even if it doesn't imply that you missed/skipped one...

By the way, usually lezione (when its meaning is like in this case) is translated as "class".

Hm... I'll give it a shot...
Are you talking about missing a class and then wanting to make it up?
If you missed a class/lesson, you can make it up (if it's OK with the teacher)... the phrase would be "to make up a missed lesson/missed class."
I don't know if this is helpful...

I see. Then I also learned a new phrase today: "recupero della lezione." Grazie. This is a great forum, no kidding...
