reflect

Hello,

The moonlight, candles and twinkle lights reflect on the water's surface.

Is "reflect" used correctly in this way? Because I went to the dictionary and found that "reflect on" has something to do with "influence". In dictionaries, I can find results like "The still water reflected the full moon.", but no results like "The full moon reflected on the still water."
