    Dear all,

I'm trying to translate this sentence: "les grandes initiatives telles que le processus PDA témoignent d'un certain regain d'intérêt pour la question".
I saw there was another post suggesting "to regain attention" but I can't quite make it fit the purpose of this sentence.

Could I say: " Major initiatives such as the PDA process highlight a new interest in the question" or is that not idiomatic?

    Many thanks!

"A renewal of interest" which is not the same as "a new interest" The forme rindicates that there had been previous interest in........

Major initiatives such as the PDA process highlight (a) renewed interest/a surge of interest/a resurgence of interest in the question.
